🍵 Tea taste profile and other interesting facts?

This tea provides a distinctive taste of flower nectar, strawberry lolipops and spices with soft green jelly texture, sweet honey and wild sour fruit tones. Similarly like other tea villages from Bulang Tea Mountain, we love the juicy aftertaste and energizing bitter-sweet character typical for this region. This tea also presents a short memory for the Autumn tea harvest in 2026 and provides better comparision among different tea producer families within Laobanzhang village (老班章).

🌏 Tea origin & production? 

This fresh sheng puer tea originates from Bulang Tea Mountain (布朗山), one of the largest and most demanded tea regions in Menghai County (勐海县). Laobanzhang village (老班章) belongs to one of the famous and wealthiest tea villages in Xishuangbanna and has currently 134 families (2026), which are living at the location around 1700 meters above the sea level. Most of the local people are represented by Hani tribe (哈尼族).

The tea leaves were harvested from mix of tea trees (huncai 混采) across tea gardens close from Laobanzhang village (老班章) at elevations of approximately 1800 metres above sea level. The Autumn harvest of 2026 was carried out by Huang's family for his brother (No. 58), who hand-picked and processed the tea into the sheng puer (Shengcha 生茶). The loose tea was then compressed few weeks later (Q3/2026) and purchased directly from Huang Zhiwei during our work trip across Xishuangbanna at the end of 2026.

Due to our ongoing work trip across Xishuangbanna (September-October 2026), the detailed information will be added after our arrival to Europe. This tea recieved a subsidy from the Czech-Xishuangbanna Tea Association (CZEXITEAS), which allow us to provide this tea for more affordable price to promote the local producers.

In case of the pre-orders, please, use the online payments or bank transfers since the amount of tea samples carried back to Europe is very limited.
