WE038 - Weight of choice: artisan & factory teas?
Product detailed description
😍 | Time for tea! This time, we will explore the differences between artisan and factory-produced teas. While artisan teas are characterized by minimal mechanization, limited production volumes and a stronger emphasis on the quality of both the raw tea material and its processing, factory-produced teas represent the living history of tea manufacturing, focusing on increasing production capacity and reducing overall production costs. When did factory tea production begin in Xishuangbanna? Why are teas from the former Menghai Tea Factory (today's Dayi), established in 1940, still so highly valued? What tools and technologies are used in modern tea processing? Why is small-scale production of shu puer (shucha 熟茶) still extremely rare? And why does the tea industry continue to place increasing emphasis on mechanization instead of more traditional manufacturing methods?
🌱 | During this tea event, we will taste 4 different shu puer from several producers to better understand the diversity of tea-making approaches and their influence on the final cup. Both the program and the tea selection is rich, and we're sure you will love it! The event standartly takes 60 minutes, yet, the duration can be extended or shorten upon the negotiation.
🙏| The entrance fee is 500,- CZK. The maximum number of participants is 6 tea lovers. Please book your seat in advance and make sure to eat beforehand so you can fully enjoy the authentic tea experience.
