WE013 - Tea giants: myths & reality

| Time for tea! This time, we will look at luxury sheng puer teas from giant tea trees (Gaogan 高杆), one of the distinctive tea trees with at least 6-7 meters height and deep root system from which one of the most demanded teas due to their specific tea properties and limited quantity are produced. Special attention will be paid to the history, botany, tea geography and philosophy of tea.

| What is so special about teas made from gaogan tea trees? What are the differences between ancient tea trees (Gushu 古树), giant tea trees (Gaogan 高杆) and single tea trees (Danzhu 单株)? Are these tea different from king tea trees (Chawangshu 茶王树)? Why there are complex ladders around these trees (jiaoshoujia 脚手架)? What does it mean Chaqi (茶氣)? And how it is different from high caffeine? What body response you should expect? And what are the contemporary challenges for sustainable development of thea tea trees?

🍵| During the session we will taste four sheng puer teas and share exclusive content from our recent research trip to Xishuangbanna, including unique photographs and videos from the region.

🙏| The entrance fee for the event is 3000,- CZK. The maximum number of participants is 6 tea lovers. The event will take place with a minimum of 3 tea lovers (1000,- CZK per each participant) or upon negotiation. Please book your seat in advance and make sure to eat beforehand so you can fully enjoy the authentic tea experience.
