WE011 - Competition teas: Quality & Skills

| Time for tea! This time, we will look at luxury teas in Xishuangbanna, where will elaborate various tea competitions and festivals, where both teas and tea skills are evaluated. Special attention will be paid to the history, botany and contemporary dynamics of tea competitions.

| What is the history of tea competitions? How does the blind tea tasting (doucha 斗茶) work? What are the most famous tea competitions in Xishuangbanna and how they differ from various expo, exhibitions and other similar public events? What are the tea master skills and in what disciplines people are competing? Are medal-awared teas and competition teas so different from regular ones? And is just marketing or high-added value teas ready to be furtherly explored?

🍵| During the session we will taste four competition sheng puer teas and share exclusive content from our recent research trip to Xishuangbanna, including unique photographs and videos from the region.

🙏| The entrance fee for the event is 3000,- CZK. The maximum number of participants is 6 tea lovers. The event will take place with a minimum of 3 tea lovers (1000,- CZK per each participant) or upon negotiation. Please book your seat in advance and make sure to eat beforehand so you can fully enjoy the authentic tea experience.
