🍵 Tea taste profile and other interesting facts?

This tea provides a distinctive taste of citrusy candies, soft sweet pastry and chestnuts with soft olive, musky and sour green apple tones. Unlike other tea villages from Bulang Tea Mountain, we were impressed by significantly softer body of the tea and richer fruity taste, which we usually find at other tea mountains. This tea also presents a short memory for the Autumn tea harvest in 2026, where we have documented the whole tea making process from tea plucking to final processing. 

🌏 Tea origin & production? 

This fresh white tea originates from Bulang Tea Mountain (布朗山), one of the largest and most demanded tea regions in Menghai County (勐海县). Weidong (卫东) village belongs to one of the least known and most remote tea villages at Bulang Tea Mountain and it is sometimes called the "back gate" of Banzhang micro-region (班章). 

Weidong village (卫东) has 92 families and it is located at 900 m.a.s.l. Most of the local people are represented by Hani tribe (哈尼族). Weidong village is relatively visited place due to its nearby waterfalls, which helps to irrigate the local tea gardens even during the dry season.

The tea leaves were harvested from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树) above 100 years old across tea gardens close to Weidong village (卫东) at elevations of approximately 1500-1600 metres above sea level. The Autumn harvest of 2026 was carried out by Yanghai, who hand-picked and processed by machine into the sheng puer (Shengcha 生茶). The loose tea was then compressed few weeks later (Q3/2026) and purchased directly at master Yinghai during our work trip across Xishuangbanna at the end of 2026.

Due to our ongoing work trip across Xishuangbanna (September-October 2026), the detailed information will be added after our arrival to Europe. This tea recieved a subsidy from the Czech-Xishuangbanna Tea Association (CZEXITEAS), which allow us to provide this tea for more affordable price to promote the local producers.

In case of the pre-orders, please, use the online payments or bank transfers since the amount of tea samples carried back to Europe is very limited.
