Product detailed description
Overview
A delicious sheng puer tea from the ancient tea mountain Manzhuan (蛮专), which was pressed in the spring of 2022. The tea leaves come from ancient tea trees (gushu 古树), the top-quality tea trees with the most complex taste, sweetness and vitality. This tea was generously provided to us by Wangjia, whose family originates from the village of Yanglin (秧林) on the Mangzhi Tea Mountain (莽枝) and focuses on teas across all six ancient tea mountains (guliu dachashan 古六大茶山). We have known Wangjia since 2020, and during our work trip to Xishuangbanna in early 2025, we met her several times in her teahouse in Jinghong (景洪). This tea has a sparkling golden-ochre color and a pleasant honey-smoky fragrance. While drinking tea in Wangjia’s teahouse, we appreciated its distinctive stone fruit taste and thick honey flavour, which are the reasons why teas from this area are so in demand.
