Product detailed description
Overview
An aged shu puer from the Yiwu Ancient Tea Mountain (易武), which was produced in Spring 2014 and pressed in Spring 2020. The tea leaves were collected from mix of mature tea trees (huncai 混采) across fifteen villages within the Yiwu Tea Mountain and celebrates Chinese New Year of Snake 2025. The tea was generously provided by Liang, a certified tea master (2013, Shenzhen), senior tea mentor and lecturer at Xishuangbanna Jinlanling Vocational Training School (西双版纳金蓝领职业培训学校) since 2019 who source her teas across twelve tea mountains within Xishuangbanna.
During our work trip to Xishuangbanna at the beginning of 2025, we spent quite a lot of time tasting, testing and consulting various aspects of local teas. Additionally, we conducted several interviews with her and discussed contemporary trends in Xishuangbanna tea industry. This tea has dark brown color and a distinctive molasses-woody fragrance. While we were drinking at Liang's tea house, we liked the smoothness, balanced taste and sweet nutty aftertaste, which is ideal for daily drinking and tea lovers who like minimum earthiness.
