TE036 - Tea identity: content, cover & neifei (28.5. 2026)

| Time for tea! This time, we will look what is inside the compressed teas and how important is the tea cover in terms of tracking down the origin and quality of tea. Special attention will be paid to the physical aspects (aroma, aestetics of compressed tea material, compression level and cover material), terminology (most frequent references in Chinese on compressed teas, famous factory names and origins), tea designs (minimalist vs. maximalist) and other aspects regarding the tea finalization process.

| What does the cover of the compressed tea tell you about the quality of tea? What to expect after opening the compressed tea? What does it mean "Seven tea cakes" (Qizibingcha 七子饼茶) and "Tea tag" (Neifei 内飞)? Why tea must be steamed before compression? What instruments are used for compressing the tea? Why some teas weight exactly 357 g? How often you can encounter on teas without cover? And how about tea stamps? What is the difference between mold and sticked neifei? And how about the "golden flower" (Jinhua 金花)? Why some teas smell so good or bad? And why it is nowadays much easier to track down the actual source of origin than in the past?

| During the event, we will drink four sheng puer teas from Xishuangbanna and will share an exclusive content from our recent work trip in Xishuangbanna with some unique photos and videos. 

🙏| The entrance fee is 450,- CZK. The maximum number of participants is 6 tea lovers. The event will take place with a minimum of 2 tea lovers. Please book your seat in advance and make sure to eat beforehand so you can fully enjoy the authentic tea experience.
