Bamboo charcoal sticks helps remove chlorine, absorb impurities, and balance the water’s pH, leaving it fresher and smoother. This an affordable alternative to bottle water and various membrane tea filters (Brita, Amway...), which is often used in Xishuangbanna both in terms of cooking local food and brewing local teas. Before use
Take some little brush and gently brush the coal residuals from your bamboo charcoal. After that, simply place the charcoal stick into your electric kettle and boil the water as usual. To be sure, pour our the first boiled water to get rid of some bamboo coal residuals.

How long to use?
The bamboo charcoal can stay in your electric water kettle for weeks, yet, we recommend the keep proper maintanance.

Maintanance
Depending on your water quality, your bamboo charchoal (Photo No.1) may be covered by water stone and other residuals (Photo No. 2) sooner or later. To maximize the effectiveness of enhancing water quality, repeat the "before use" procedure and re-use your bamboo charcoal once again.
