TE028 - Tea and Silence: myths and reality (9.5. 2026)

| Time for tea! This time, we will look at the alternative approaches towards tea tasting, which focus on drinking tea in absolute silence and compare them with reality in Yunnan Province. The special attention will be paid to the perception of music, noise and other sensational aspects, which may affect the actual tea experience.

| Is it necessary to drink tea in absolute silence to fully appreciate the tea? How people taste the tea in Xishuangbanna? Why local teahouses are often located in noisy areas? To what extend is noise the part of local tea culture? Is it possible to enjoy tea at work or in rush? What sounds can be encountered in local tea houses? And why silence may paradoxically blunt your other senses during the tea evaluation?

| During the event, we will drink four Yunnan red teas and will share an exclusive content from our recent work trip in Xishuangbanna with some unique photos and videos. 

🙏| The entrance fee is 450,- CZK. The maximum number of participants is 6 tea lovers. The event will take place with a minimum of 2 tea lovers. Please book your seat in advance and make sure to eat beforehand so you can fully enjoy the authentic tea experience.
