Product detailed description
🍵| Autumn is finally here, which is a perfect time for exploring Xishuangbanna Tea Culture! This time, we will follow up our previous Banzhang tea event - Part I. (17.7. 2025) and discuss the growing popularity of the Banzhang teas since 2004/2005.
🌱| The Banzhang teas (banzhangcha 班章茶) have very specific mellow, musky and flowery taste and strong energy feeling (baqi 霸气). Unlike Laobanzhang (老班章), which presents one of the most famous, demanded and most-developed villages at Bulang Tea Mountain (布朗山), many surrounding villages, including Xinbanzhang (新班章), Laomane (老曼峨), Bakanan (坝卡囡), Laobanpen(老班盆), Bakalong (坝卡竜) or Weidong (卫东) provide similar, yet, very different experience from this fascinating tea area.
🫖| To fully distinguish signature taste from this micro-region and adress differences among different villages, producers, years of harvest and physical forms, we will evalute three puer teas from recent harvests and discuss the journey of Zheng Zhangpeng (郑展鹏), one of the first tea pioneers and protectors of the Laobanzhang village who systematically raised the awareness about this micro-region at Bulang Tea Mountain (布朗山).
🎎| How does tea from Banzhang region taste? And how it is different from Laobanzhang tea from Zheng, which we visited in Spring 2025? During the event, we will taste three Banzhang teas (Laobanzhang, Laobanpen a Weidong) and compare the common traits as well as differences, which make this micro-region so unique.
🙏| The entrance fee is 650,- CZK. The entrance fee includes a bilingual presentation (EN/CZ) and tea tasting. The number of seats is limited. Please, book your seat in advance. Thank you for your attention and we are looking to sharing tea with you at our Tea Chamber!
