Product detailed description
🍵| Summer is finally here, which is a perfect time for exploring Xishuangbanna Tea Culture! This time, we would like to talk about Hani tribe (哈尼族) and their tea-related traditions in Xishungbanna.
🫖| Similarly like other mountain tribes, Hani people belong to one of the first tea and terraced rice paddy cultivators in Yunnan Province, whose history can be traced to 1200 years ago. While there can be found numerous disputes with other tribes, particularly Dai people (傣族), Hani people are famous for processing old tea leaves from ancient tea trees (Laopaka 老帕卡), making various tea rituals and ceremonies celebrating the human-nature harmony.
🎎| What is the history of Hani people? What is the difference between Hani and other twelve tribes in Xishuangbanna? And how their tea taste like? During the presentation, we will taste four teas (shengcha and shucha) from four Hani tea producers (Gemei, Leer, Huang and Liu) and discuss the ongoing challenges for Hani tea culture.
🙏| The entrance fee is 500,- CZK. The fee includes a bilingual presentation (EN/CZ) and tasting four teas from four Hani producers. The number of seats is limited. Please, book your seat in advance. Thank you for your attention and we are looking to sharing tea with you at our Tea Chamber!
