| Recently, we recieved a lot of new Xishuangbanna teas, which we would like to share with you! Unlike our previous event on 15th June 2025 where we were comparing teas from Banzhang area (班章) at Bulang Tea Mountain (布朗山), this time we would like to dive into one of the most luxurious, unforgetable and signature tea village called Laobanzhang (老班章).
| To date, there can be found numerous mislabelled and other fake Laobanzhang teas in Europe. While their price usually oscillates around dozens of RMB, many vendors try to sell these counterfeited products with extreme margins to justify the name. Yet, Laobanzhang teas (老班章茶) have very specific mellow, musky and flowery taste with strong unique energy feeling (baqi 霸气), which is why they are so demanded.
| To better recognize these fascinating teas, we will look closely at Laobanzhang village from the viewpoint of Huang's family (Laobanzhang farmer no. 007). In Spring 2025, we visited his tea gardens and documented with various aspects of the contemporary development of the Laobanzhang village in the last 20 years, which we would like to share with you.
| How does authentic teas from Lanbazhang village taste like? Is it worthy to buy fake Laobanzhang teas? And why many vendors prefer to buy Laobanzhang teas outside of Xishuangbanna? During the event, we will taste two qiaomu quality shengcha (2024 and 2025) and two qioamu quality shucha (2023 and 2024), all harvested and processed by Huang's family during the Spring harvest.
| The entrance fee is 650,- CZK. The entrance fee includes a bilingual presentation (EN/CZ) with unique audio-visual materials and Laobanzhang tea tasting (four teas). The number of seats is limited.
