Product detailed description

Fresh Yunnan white tea from the tea village of Huazhuliangzi (滑竹凉子) on Mengsong Tea Mountain (勐宋山). The tea was produced and pressed in Spring 2025. The tea leaves come from mix of young, mature and ancient tea trees (huncai 混采) harvested during the second spring picking (erchun 二春) across tea gardens near the village of Huazhuliangzi at an elevation of around 2400 m.a.s.l. The cover features a minimalist graphic design with Chinese characters referring to “pure joy” (qinghuan 请欢) and the production of white tea from “tea forests” (senlin baicha 森林白茶) from the highest-altitude region in Xishuangbanna.
The tea was generously provided to us by Mengfei, a tea producer originally born in the town of Xuanwei (宣威) near the provincial capital Kunming (昆明市). Mengfei comes from the Han ethnic group (汉族) and owns a small teahouse in Jinghong. We have known Mengfei since 2009, and during our second autumn work trip through Xishuangbanna, we spent an afternoon with him tasting teas and discussing current trends in the tea world.
